  The hotel was huge and very nicely decorated, both in the reception area and in the rooms. There were actual birds in the lobby, not sure if they were supposed to be there or squatting, but I thought they were cute. Room was clean and the bed was comfortable. I grew up in Greenwich 50 years ago and this was my first trip back to see old friends I had grown up with.   I liked mostly everything. The substantial breakfast each am, the friendliness and helpfulness of all staff members, the comfortable beds. I liked how the tile went part of the way into the room and ended by the closet so that u cld take your shoes off without trucking dirt from outside onto the carpet.
