We live 60 plus miles from the city and have come in often for weekends and stayed in numerous hotels over the years.

I loved everything! I came to celebrate my 50th birthday on my own in NYC. The Distrikt was the perfect choice for my 11 night stay - awesome staff, awesome room and awesome view too. The location of this hotel was excellent, it was approx 10-15 mins max walk from the main centre of Times Square. I had looked at other hotels nearer to Times Square prior to going that were more expensive, but found so many hidden gems with food and bars on the walk to Times Square that both my wife and I would certainly use this Hotel again in the future. The Beer Authority Pub was just down the street that was a great place to drink and eat. The Buffalo wings are H-h-h-hooot.

It is a nice and quite hotel. Rooms are convenient though not luxurious and beds very comfortable. Internet is included and fast enough for the backpacker to do occasional research on restaurants, facilities etc.Location is ideal to visit Manhattan, harbor etc.
This hotel has a rooftop with nice view.

We booked a large room and were upgraded to a suite with living room andbalcony. Very nice touch. I would definitely stay there again. This isbeing stated by someone who lives and works in nyc. It was my daughter and son's first trip to NYC and coming by train it was a very convenient location. The staff was extremely courteous, helpful and locked our luggage after check-out so we could sightsee. The beds are extremely comfortable, room was clean and I felt very safe travelling alone with two young children (10 and 5yrs).
