From the first moment we entered the staff was friendly and helpfull. The location is exellent, 8min walk to the L. Clark street which is full of pubs and restaurans just 2min. 2 cinema's are in walking distance. The hostel is great, whether if you're in a dorm or private room. We were in a half/half. At check-in the staff was extremely helpful and, when no parking spots were available, they showed where to find free parking and then another ramp to park as well. The events hosted by the hostel were outstanding as well, the pub crawl, evening grill out, and the Hawks parade viewing of course. Overall, this hostel is straightforward and simple, no tricks, in a fun and happening Lincoln Park neighborhood, and I know this is my new go to place to stay when I return to Chicago for future trips.

The staff was fantastic, as was the concept an idea of the place. It had a efficient yet cool feel to it. The location is very convenient; a block from the blue line, a short walk from the six corners, parking available on the streets, Divvy bikes a block away, next door to Starbucks is a plus! The location of the IHSP was awesome. It was located only minutes away from the Blue Line - which takes you right into the city in 5-10 minutes. It has many small restaurants located around it offering many different types of food. It also has shops - high end ones and more inexpensive trendy ones - all located within walking distance as well as pubs and bars. Overall fun, trendy neighbourhood. Hostile was extremely clean, comfortable and employees were extremely helpful and friendly.
