The staff was very polite and the manager helped me chose a specific
room prior to my stay. The Hotel is fairly modern and cozy. Not too
upscale that you'd feel like your sleeping in an overly furnished
office space.

Regarding location, some might find the surrounding industry/depot businesses disturbing, but you cannot beat the stunning view of the Manhattan skyline, you have from all rooms and the rooftop-terrace. The area is quiet at night - also if you walk home to your hotel in the evening. Convenient with the complimentary hotel shuttlebus, but you could also easily walk to the subway station Queensboro Plaza 7 blocks from the hotel (8 min walk). The hotel front desk man Luis was beyond a pleasure. He was beyond sweet and kind to us and very friendly and a great face and personality to have at this hotel. I stayed at the Hotel for 7 nights, the good things are:
- Considering the room rates with the facilities and proximity to the metro line 7, it's definetly a good-value for money
- They arranged a room according to our request prior to arrival
- There is a shuttle to the metro station, but if you want to walk it's around 12 minutes
- Those guys in reception were helpful for our spot questions, especially Valentino and Rahmi
- Housekeepers were good too, they insist on making your your perfect e
