The location was perfect for what we were there for. It was so easy to get anywhere from our hotel location. It was right next to the subway station, making it simple to go uptown to downtown and anywhere in between. The staff was very helpful and friendly! We also loved the atmosphere!! The live band downstairs was great (besides the fact that we could hear it in our room the first night).

The staff are fabulous, very friendly, professional, cannot do more to help. The pool is great - at times (weekend afternoons when the sun is out) it is quite a "scene" which might annoy someone looking to relax but it is what it is (and at other times it is very relaxing). The restaurants are very good and the rooftop bar/club PHD is great on a Saturday (although be aware that it is run separately from the hotel so after 11 or so, being a hotel guest does not guarantee access). Staff we're amazing. We went to celebrate my partners 30th and they help arrange champagne and chocolate Strawberries for our arrival in the room and managed to upgrade us and give us an early check in.

Loved the convenience of the drive up and valet, although $50 wa a little expensive.
$265 room with 2 lunch salads and 1 small pot of coffee and a bottle of water (room service) and valet put the room charge to $460. Ended up being pretty expensive for one night. We may consider staying again, but more expensive than we expected.

What didn't I like?? It was at a great location 5-10 mins walk to Empire State and Times Square. Subway is only a block away. You have a 24 hour organic deli across the road Bread and Butter. It was my daughter and son's first trip to NYC and coming by train it was a very convenient location. The staff was extremely courteous, helpful and locked our luggage after check-out so we could sightsee.
