  Hotel is great if you are visiting NY on a budget. It is clean, which is all that really matters. - The bed was pretty comfortable. The bathrooms were clean. There was 24 hour reception. It is pretty close to a metro and pharmacy so you can get around well.

Staff at cafeteria is not negative, but not always positive, could be more polite - I have stayed in around 20 different yha hostels in the world and this is the best I have ever stayed in. Excellent security ( all points of entry are covered including your dormitory!! Believe me, not all hostels offer that). Everything !! short walk to the #1 subway line which takes u all the way down to battery park. There are housing projects directly behind thebuilding, but there was no trouble at all & that just added to the whole atmosphere of staying in ny. They put on several events on each day & night so u get to meet a lot of other travelers & explore in a group. There is an outlet & little shelf
