  My husband and I reserved a room here after packing and moving up to Nevada City. We were pleasantly surprised at the warm, friendly reception we and our dog received upon arrival. The room was very clean, the bed very comfortable, the bathroom was quite nice, and the setting was lovely.   It was nice and clean, all that we used it for was a place to change clothes and sleep. - The staff were friendly and accommodating. The location close to Empire Mine and scenic trails on one side and shopping on the other is terrific. Nice hot shower!

Excellent continental breakfast, very helpful and pleasant staff. - We enjoyed our stay went with 6 couples to Cornish Christmas in Grass Valley.   I loved the Holbrooke Hotel for its great central location in old Grass Valley and for its rich lively California history. When I arrived on a Sunday evening there was a Celtic band playing near the saloon inside the hotel which was really cool...the historic elevator was still working so I took it to my room on the 2nd floor, which was room where... что говорят » the famous Lola Crabtree stayed in, and it was down the hall from the Presidential suites. The room had a beautiful clawfoot bath tub, a working flat - This is our 2nd visit to the Holbrooke Hotel. We came back because we enjoy the historical aspects of the hotel. If folks are looking for the Ritz-Carlton, this is not the place. Come for the olde time ambiance.
