The staff were welcoming and very helpful when asked. It was a lovely setting and perfect for adults without children. Away from the tourist attractions in the national park. The drive to the lodge is hilly and hairpin bends but worth it when you arrive. Can thoroughly recommend a stay here. -

The manager responded to the inoperable in-room movies by providing us
with a complimentary breakfast. The buffet breakfast was amazing! The
pool area is very family friendly with two indoor slides. The lobby area

The hotel is at the best location. The view is amazing. Amazing. The beds are very comfortable, the staff is helpful. (Thank you Tiffany for working with us and changing our room!) The rooms are clean, the view from the bar is great as well, the fire pit is a very nice touch. That is our second stay here and I have recommended the hotel to all my friends. Great hotel.

The unit we stayed in was clean, comfortable, and a delight. The
fixtures and appliances all worked great, were all from the
'70's, but still in great shape. Peaceful. The last minute
upgrade was a nice surprise. 'Spose they do this to lure you
in.......... ; ) -

Loved the location and the fact that we were in the mountains. The
location was great--just a few miles outside of Gatlinburg and not very
far to all the sites and attractions of Pigeon Forge and Dollywood. The
staff went out of their way to see that we had what we needed,
including a waitress and chef that more than accommodated my special
reques

We like that we could visit here & had all we needed right on spot, didn't have to bring anything from town. We like that as a couple we were able to go out that evening & enjoy other couples socializing at the bar & had the restaurant on site. We also like that when we decide to come back we can also bring our daughter & she will be occupied with activities to do for her own age. Beautiful place, loved it, can't wait to come back!

I liked everything. The room was spacious, clean and was right on a river. It was also right behind the parkway where there was plenty of shopping and places to eat. I enjoyed the fact that they had given us an upgrade on our reservation. My fiancé and I loved the proximity to Gatlinburg's main strip and that we weren't forced to pay for parking. Everything was within walking distance from the hotel. Even though we stayed during the weekend, we felt that we had our privacy and didn't notice any commotion. We will definitely come back to River Terrace.

Staff was above & beyond! Great value! Was nervous about cleanliness

hotel grounds; was properly maintained & clean. Of course dated, 99%

I found it to be a great place to stay at a very reasonable price. It's a older motel, the court yard IDE we stayed in is the older section, but it was well kept up and very clean. For my kids ages 9 and 21 the Internet and pools are importtant, they had both! And my 9 year old loved having 3 pools to choose from! On one particular night a families kids above our heads got rowdy. One call to the desk resolved the problem in minutes. As to location...I like being out if the hustle of downtown. I
