Great service, gourmet breakfast, great location, steps away from downtown and yet quiet, very cordial staff and owners are excellent people. The yellow house was very accommodating. -
The room was roomy and well appointed as was the bathroom. The staff is friendly and welcoming. AC was awsome. Bed was comfortable.

First, the beds were great; comfortable, plush, lottsa pillows, quilt, and the room was pretty quiet (except for occasional footfalls upstairs, but, alas...). We were very pleased with the hotel. The staff was exceptional. Friendly, attentive and fun. The continental breakfast was fabulous. The room was spacious and well equiped, with a lovely comfortable bed. There were many wonderful restaurants to which we could easily walk.. All and all a wonderful experience and we will return.

We appreciate the design of the inn both regarding the living spaces and
the bedroom. The heritage of the "good old day" is clear as
well as the good taste of the owners Bob and Ann. We required a special
meal for breakfasr given my intolerance to gluten and Bob prepared us
personalized meals with no extra charge. Good place to relax, also very
close to Bar Harbor downtown and the bus stop to Acadia National Park.
HIghly recommended.

The Victorian flavor of the house is perfect, right down to the antiques
and decorations, our bathroom was updated and the little porch off the
room was a nice surprise, as was the gas fireplace! The owner held a
wine & cheese gathering before we left for dinner each night and
entertained us with stories about the town and its history. Breakfast
buffet was incredible with so many choices, including gluten free items!
The walk to town was so close too. We loved it!

Great location, very clean, nice room, easy to park next to the room, great continental breakfast, great view of the ocean. It was a short walk to town. For picking it sight unseen (except for pictures on the Internet) we were very pleased with choosing the Bar Harbor Inn and delighted with the overall experience.

The Bar Harbor Motel provided everything we needed for our stay in Acadia National Park. It was close to the village of Bar Harbor but out of the hectic and crowded scene there. We could get into the park without having to go through downtown. There was a light breakfast fine for our needs, good TV, a very nice restaurant and brew pub right next door, with prime steak specials each night as well as good local brews on tap and a full bar (the Jack Russell Steakhouse). Our rooms were very large with great toiletry amenities. The hotel is in a great location, just 5 minutes ride to Acadia Visitor Center and to the restaurants, shopping and pier. The staff at the hotel were great.
The view out of the window in our room or in the great room were worth the price of the stay. The evenings had a pianist with fingers that danced across the keys stimulating memories of yesterday. Both of the pools were spectacular with the indoor pool area reminiscent of scenes from Cocoon.
The view from the Looking Glass has to be the best view in the area.
