  We found the hotel to be ideally located to walk into town without being in the middle of the crowds. (and there is a free shuttle stop nearby to take you downtown as well.)There were numerous great restaurant options close by. We especially enjoyed Miss Shirley's. The hotel staff was excellent. Then we decided we wanted to stay for two nights but when I went on Book.com website it wouldn't let me make the changes so I contacted the hotel and asked them if we went directly thru them, if they would make sure we kept the same room and they said they would.   My husband and I chose the Historic Inns of Annapolis for a quick get away for our 6th-month anniversary, and we had a wonderful, relaxing time! When we arrived, we discovered that we had been upgraded to a suite, instead of our regular room. The staff was very helpful and the grounds were picturesque.
