  Great location - the beach is just across the road. Ayr is just to the south & Largs, with the great pizzeria/gelateria is to the north. Staff at South Beach are wonderful - nothing is too much trouble here and you are always greeted with a smile. Rooms lovely & comfortable. The staff were lovely, the room was clean, cosy and relaxing to be in and had an good WiFi connection. The food was excellent. I have stayed in more expensive hotels and had inferior experiences to this one. I would recommend the South Beach Hotel to anyone!

  Marion was an exceptionally wonderful hostess - she made us feel welcome and comfortable, and even went to a lot of trouble looking up bus schedules and the like. The room was cozy and comfortable and the location is fantastic! I particularly loved the bowl of fresh fruit salad that we could help ourselves to whilst waiting for our cooked breakfast. The owner was very friendly and even gave us a lift to the airport, for which she wouldn't take any money for.

  The welcome was lovely. We were made to feel welcome and help was offered with our cases. The room we were in was gorgeous and had great views of the golf course and the sea (and the airport). It's a shame we were there when the wind was howling etc. The breakfast selection was very good and tasty.
