  Like most hotels in Douglas it is now an old building, but everywhere inside the hotel was nice and clean and the staff where very helpfull. I was in a single room, but not too small and the shower was fine.   The location of the Hotel was excellent. The bedroom and bathroom were ample-sized for two people and very clean. Towels were changed as and when requested. The breakfast choice was superb, cooked to order and hot. Nothing was too much trouble. We arrived late morning, check in normally 2pm, and as we had advi - Great location (within walking distance of Douglas and all its attractions). Very clean and comfortable room (albeit quite basic) with kingsize bed - unusual for a Guest House (where one would expect a double bed only). Extraordinarily friendly and extremely helpful team of staff (we left early and in place of breakfast they made us lovely sandwiches to eat at a more 'sensible' hour).   As i was travelling alone worried about staying on my own in a place that doesn't have 24hr reception desk or staff within the hotel however that was not a issue to my suprise. I felt very safe, staff were excellent, friendly couldn't do enough for you.
