Everything, the staff were very friendly and very well mannered from the cleaners to the manager, it was very clean, the food fantastic, the rooms wonderful, just brilliant in every way. The location of The Ship is good, in a lovely village. We were able to park right outside the door. Staff were welcoming and the room was lrge, very comfortable, with everything we needed and nice extras like bottled water and biscuits. The breakfast choice was excellent and we also had an evening meal which was very nice, with generous portions.

Needed to stay in Gatehouse of Fleet for business and found the ship-inn was ideal for this. The room was very clean and comfortable with Wi-Fi which allowed me to work in room. The food was great and I was made to feel very welcome by the staff. All in all a great stayed which I would recommend to anyone.

The hotel was heaven made for dog owners who like to include their pets in everything that they do. We were able to have our dog with us all the time, including meal times. Stayed in a spacious, relaxing and very comfortable suite. We loved the decor and furnishings too.
Once we had settled in, a fresh flower arrangement was delivered to our room. That was a nice touch.
Staff were very helpful and friendly,

We liked everything about it, the hotel was ideal for us, very comfortable and spacious rooms. the food was extremely good and a very varied menu. the staff were very professional and attentive to our needs, even the locals that popped in we got to know. We spent three nights at woodlands and would have loved to have stayed longer.

Margaret was so welcoming and friendly. We felt right at home.... which was lovely after driving 4 hours to the ferry and then getting on the ferry for two hours. Very friendly owner and nothing was any trouble.Had to catch early ferry 6.30am to Befast and she provided my sister and myself with an excellent packed lunch as we would not be there for breakfast.It was much appreciated.The breakfast the next morning was excellent.Very convenient for both ferry terminals to Ireland

The owners of this bandb were brilliant! We were in Stranraer for awedding and they helped us find somewhere for a quick lunch beforehand,gave us maps and offered ironing facilities. Recently refurbished to a high standard offering comfortable and clean accommodation. Easy car parking. Excellent buffet breakfast or a cooked breakfast done to order. Everthing in the room worked as it should and there were some thoughtful and useful touches such as fresh milk if required rather than those UHT pots. Proprietors were more than helpful and were there to greet you when I turned up. Lovely touches in the bedroom like sweets, biscuits & coffee making facilities. Warm rooms and very comfortable bed.

Mark and Morag, the owners, are a very friendly and hospitable couple who make you most welcome. Morag is in charge of the cooking which is excellent and Mark is in charge of the bar and reservations. If you make a booking for bed and breakfast make sure you book for your evening meal as well as the few tables available get booked up quickly and there is know where else round and about to eat. Morag's breakfast are to die for with tasty locally sourced ingredients.

Location - close to town and all amenities but far enough from town centre for quiet break. Room décor old fashioned including 4 poster bed to suit styled accommodation - modern up to date equipment, Fab breakfast and service in well lit cosy room. Plentiful parking spaces and children's play area out back (if you have little ones with you). Great for price - booked on special rate 2 days before trip
