Having stayed at the hotel before the refurb and enjoyed it the new look is excellent. Comfy and modern we very much enjoyed our stay, leisure facillities better then most gyms, excellent food in both the pub area and more formal resturant. the staff were exceptional, as one of our party of eight has coeliac disease, but not a problem to them, even down to breakfast on sun morning, she was well catered for, thoughtful and freindly personel - Staff were very polite, friendly and helpful. The room was clean tidy and comfortable. Facilites were great

The service from arrival to departure was outstanding, staff were very friendly, helpful, nothing was too much trouble - we were made to feel really special. The room was spotless, the super king size bed was blissfully comfortable. The hotel is in a very convenient location and easy to find. This was 5-star luxury at a very reasonable rate. -

Amazing facilities and the restaurant food is fantastic, the best Yorkshire steak i had in my life so far! The rooms are really nice. It has gone through an recent uplift and you can see it was a quick job in the finishing but you get over it as at the end of the day, it light years from any bandb. The young male receptionist was the best receptionist I have ever met. He was friendly, helpful delightful to talk too.We arrived exhausted after an eventful day he was the most calming accommodating chap, nothing was too much effort for him.The room was excellent the bottled water and shortcake biscuits went down a treat. We had been warned before that building work was underway but it made no difference whatsoever to our enjoyment and all the staff went out of their way to be both friendly and helpful. There was also an enthusiasm for the place that was refreshing.
