Digital televisions, wireless internet, en-suite bathrooms with power showers and, of course, very comfortable beds. Whether you are touring Cornwall, visiting for business or just getting away from it all, we promise you a happy, relaxed and memorable stay.

Sam's complete service to make sure we had an excellent stay. Thank you Sam you are an amazing host. Central location within easy walking distance of the town and seafront. The breakfast and its presentation was a delight. everything, room, breakfast, staff. Excellent breakfast. eating breakfast in the dining room, loved the pictures on the walls, a delightful room in all respects. Plates and cutlery also different.

It was convenient for the boat to the Scilly Isles. the location was ok, close to the centre of Penzance. We were disapointed the Hotel restaurant was not open in the evening as it was one of the reasons we had chosen this particular hotel.I have only marked "Fair" for services/facilities as when we arrived, we found that the hotel chef had recently "jumped ship" leaving the proprietors without restaurant facilities, for which had developed a local and web-based high reputation. No fault of the owner. Soplease note that at the time of going to press, this establishment provides an excellent breakfast, but no other meals whatsoever. It should be noted that there is no lift - OK for me, but could be a problem for those with impaired mobility.No lifts. No on-site parking. Parking was a bit of an issue, especially for a woman travelling on her own.They have had in the past and say they had wireless internet access throughout the hotel but they did not which caused problems as I could not get emails even though the staff tried to help. They assured me however, that they are getting it reinstated so I would definately stay here again once they have the wireless available. Bedroom furniture rather drab and jumbled mix as if it had come from a cheap second hand sale. I was disappointed that the restaurant wasn't open in the evenings. Very small room (standard double). the site said it had a bar and restaurant but bar was closed and no sign of restaurant other than breakfast. Tiny room. The outside of the hotel does not do justice to the hotel or its staff. It appeared that the hotel is being upgraded but attention to the outside appearance should not be overlooked. bed springs. Bar might or might not be open -needs time put up. Restaurant closed ( not a problem but should be told). the room was very very small. Room extremely small, part of the space beeing occupied by the bathroom. the room! we are not large people so beware of room 3 if you are on the chubby side!. room was disappointing; car parking poor. The original room, which was not worth £70 and out of which I transferred. room was very small, no parking on site, not good value compared to similarly priced hotels in Penance. Rooms small and beds not very comfortable. Room and bathroom v.small.Pillows flat,shower rack rusted, room not great standard. Rooms very small and uncomfortable. No parking except on road if you could find a space. No restaurant for evening meals - no chef. it was like Fawlty Towers. Website photos were outdated and deceptive. I thought 'hotel' would mean dinner available, it was not, room was too small, breakfast was not good - stale cereal and cold cooked breakfast. extremely noisy.not worthy staying.

We have recently undergone a complete refurbishment, maintaining the Georgian features of the building whilst bringing all rooms up to 21st century standards.
Cooked breakfast is included with the booking to make sure you start the day in the right way.

Travelling information

By road; Upon reaching Penzance by the a30 you will pass the Heliport on your right. At roundabout continue straight on following signs for town centre. Drive up through the town centre, passing the Humphry Davy statue on your right. Turn right at top of the High Street and continue through traffic lights. At the mini roundabout turn right, passing police station on your left. Continue to the top of the hill, passing Hospital on your left. At mini roundabout turn right. Now stay on this road (St. Clare Street), after about 150 metres the road bears right then left and becomes Clarence Street. We are 75 metres down on the left. Public transport: 10 minutes from Railway - Walk up through the town centre, past the Humphry Davy statue, continue to walk until you reach the crossroads. At crossroads turn right into Clarence Street. We are 100 metres up on the right hand side.
