The staff were extremely helpful and we enjoyed being in the surroundings of the old part of the hotel. It had character as well as having modern facilties. Choosing accommodation in a city that you are unfamiliar with is always hard. We chose well as this hotel is brilliantly located in the "old " city right off the Royal Mile. Wow- fantastic hotel. We got it for a really good price through
letsbookhotel.com and our stay was perfect. The staff were brilliant and so
attentive allowing us to check in early and assigning us to a fab room.
The room was spacious bright and colourful with lots of lovely added
extras including free movies,mini bar drinks, robes and slippers. We
also had a massage each in the spa centre which was fantastic. The
location is more than you could ask for- everything on the doorstep!!

Everything. From the greeting at the door to reception to our bags beingplaced in the best room I have stayed in the uk. The service wasfabulous and the hotel was fantastic - will be returning - I travel an awful lot and I must say the Scotsman is one of the best hotels I have ever been in. Huge room with all the trimmings. Great price. Fantastic

It was easy to drive too, with easy parking behind the hotel. It was also easy to get out of Edinburgh from this location. With this in mind I will be using this hotel again for future visits to Ed

The hotel building was very impressive, the staff were friendly and helpful, the room was superb and the food was excellent. Ideally placed for us, as we were attending the March & Rally for Scottish Independence on Calton Hill that weekend. We only stayed two nights and didn't have time to use the spa/pool but it looked really nice. You can

Very beautiful hotel in perfect location at the end of Princess Street
and not far from Calton Hill. Ideal for romantic walkings around the top
Edinburgh attractions. We spent there lovely 3 nights during Easter,
everything was good, staff very polite and helpful. Beautiful room with
all the expected facilities. I would recommend to everybody.
