Gary and Marcia were absolutely lovely, and made us feel like house
guests. Nothing was too much trouble and food was made freshly for us,
with some divine scones for tea. The room was quaint as you would expect
for an old farm house, but clean and pleasant, with a comfy bed. -

It is not often that a hotel meets all of one's expectations - but

The food was genuine with the exception of the orange juice for breakfast which was obviously out of a carton. Freshly squeezed orange (or grapefruit) would have been in keeping the the rest of breakfast and the other meals.The overall ambiance was excellent and the guys on the reception desk were well above the average and the hotel offered to prepare any meal if there was nothing on the menu to suit and offered Gluten free food. Great grounds and the river bank walk idyllic.

The food was out of this world and the staff were excellent and veryhelpful and friendly. Our room was very comfortable with a great bath inthe ensuite! Set in a good location and easy to find. Friendly and helpful staff, made you feel welcome. The rooms were set to the back of the inn in separate building, with a nice grassed sitting area for the guests. It was great for a stop-over. It's right on the A35 which makes it easy to find and well placed for venturing nearby and the coast. Room was spacious and comfortable and nicely located to the side of the pub. Staff were friendly. Food was good. I'd stay again.
