  The sense of history- the building creaks with age. We had a four-poster bed with good en-suite facilities.The Valentine's Day meal was eminently reasonable in price and extremely well cooked. Service was friendly and efficient. Goudhurst is a fine example of a wealden town and the inn is one of its architectural gems. The staff were friendly & the decor & four poster helped enhance a lovely few days away. The evening meal was a little expensive but there were cheaper options available. 9 out of 10.
