The great proximity to the port. We got off of our ship, took a complimentary shuttle bus to the end of the port where we were dropped off and walked under 10 minutes to this lovely hotel. We travelled from Barcelona to Rome (Civitavecchia by ship) it was ideal for us to stay there for a nigh before going to Rome. -

Also the view of the Mediterain was awes - Friendly staff who went out of their way to help us (and spoke terrific English) We loved the breakfast and being able to have it on our little balcony with its wonderful views of the Mediterranean. The room layout was also excellent since the door could be closed between the "bedroom area" and the "entrance area". That way if one person is sleeping the other can be in a different area.

I didn't have high expectations of an hotel so close to a sea port, but this hotel pleasantly surprised me and exceeded expectations. Rooms are very well decorated and comfortable. The architecture is great - high ceilings and lots of character - particularly in the breakfast/dining room in the cellar. -

The hotel was close to town but not in the noise of the city. Our welcome from staff was a warm one, knowing just enough English to be helpful. The room was quiet, clean and comfortable. The restaurant had an amazing menu with something for everyone. The free shuttle to the port and ships was a perfect start to our Mediterranean cruise.

The double room we booked, was spacious with a nice and comfortable bed and a clean bathroom with a shower. In the morning we had our breakfast in the patio area, it was lovely, self-service but great for us. The villa is close to the train station, city centre and the port which was very convenient for us to get to our cruise ship. Good value for money.
