All of the reception personnel were extremely gracious and helpful. Nothing ever seemed to be too much trouble. They answered questions, confirmed tours, made phone calls to check on things in other towns, made great suggestions about places to eat and buy things, and gave directions to get around. transportation. Downtown Reykjavik Apartments (dra) met and exceeded our
requirements. The dra is just 2 blocks from one of the main bus stations

We booked the smallest and cheapest available room (the double studio). When we arrived, finding our keys and room was very easy.
The room was small but very clean - the bedding smelt very fresh. We also saw a family studio which was bigger and again very clean and pleasant.
I asked to upgrade our room as I wanted a bit more space (the prices are very reasonable and I was happy to pay more). However when the owner and Thora heard it was the last leg of our honeymoon, they upgraded us to a 3 bed

The owners are helpful and very interesting to talk to. This was our third trip to Iceland and this was by far the best of our accommodations in Reykjavik. This place must be the best value in Reykjavik. I walked into my room and had a mini-jaw drop as I saw the quality of the furnishings, the comfortable bed, the NEWness of everything, and a well-stocked kitchenette. Breakfast is a tray of goodies - bread, jams, cheese. They also provide cartons of milk and orange juice that you are free to use up.

Everything was great - clean, spacious, comfortable, well-equipped (wifi in room, kitchen facilities, ipod dock), and the bath was lovely. The staff were friendly & helpful, dealing with some of my tourist queries including phone calls to local tour companies. The location is very central and you can walk to all shopping, bars, restaurants, harbour etc. Most tour companies pick up and drop off outside the hotel.

The location and room interior is good. The cost peformance is very very good. I wish I could have stayed longer. There is a washing machine and a dryer, although other building. This definitely helped us. The staff, may be owner, was very nice. I can't speak English very well. He explained slowly using simple words. I have really appreciated this.
