  What was there not to like ? We were greeted, cared and catered for in a first class manner, by the professional and friendly staff at the Hotel. The food, which we had read so much about was superb - I have never eaten such delicious duck, ever. Breakfast was delicious and we were offered cooked eggs and bacon, as well as a buffet.   The Villa Plattensee is a amazing hotel. The owner and his team are very helpful and friendly. The rooms are great and well laid out. It is a place to relax and unwind. The breakfast buffet was good and I enjoyed reading a book on the pool afterwards. The hotel is close to the lake and with a rented bike I had great excursions. Only complaint would be the air conditioning was unable to deal with the heat load. She let us do laundry, gave us apples from the tree and cinnamon and sugar to cook them with, and let us use another apartment's fridge as when we visited it was 43 degrees and the fridge's motor would have made the room even hotter.
