Go for the "Chrispy Duck on a hotplate".. its a good start =).. Half an hour to go to the Worlds oldes brewery Weihenstephaner where I had the speciality "Grilled Porkneck". Probably much more to explore in better weather conditions.

Erding itself is lovely and a nice break from the crowds in Munich. I particularly liked the proximity to the Erding Thermen, which are about my most favorite place in the world.   We arrived after a day at octoberfest, had a good comfy sleep, nice breakfast, and then we needed a taxi to get to our motorhome home. When we couldn't get a taxi, they popped us in their car and drove us there. Excellent staff.
