  When I first read the on-line guests reviews, I have to admitt that I was a bit worried to reach there. I was instead pleasantly surprised. Very modern lobby, clean and large room, bed very comfortable. We could hear a bit the noise from the Laurier Boulevard but it will stop during the night.   The location was excellent! It was near the highway and a very short drive from Old Quebec City and Montmerency Falls. The staff were extremely helpful and answered all my questions with ease. They provided maps on how to get somewhere and then back to the hotel. That does not happen very often.   The room was spacious and clean. The staff was very helpful to us regarding the city bus route to take into the city. The bus took 25 minutes and ran so frequently that there was never a long wait. The staff graciously spoke English with us, since our French is minimal. Underground parking was free and secure ( if a tight squeeze for ... что говорят » a minivan!). The little café next door had a good selection of breakfast or lunch items we could eat there or take with us. - The rooms had balconies which I love...being a bit claustrophobic, I don't like places where you can't even open a window, so a balcony was a treat...just sit out, enjoy a glass of wine and take in some fresh air and whatever view you have.   The Chateau Laurier is a lovely clean hotel and very close to the Old City. The room was nice and roomy and the staff were excellent, polite and helpful. This hotel would be perfect for those traveling with children. We had a great stay!
