  We very much liked the accommodation in the cottage. The breakfast in the main guesthouse was very much home made, plentiful and delicious. As we were visitors from the UK, the arrival of kangaroos during the late afternoon on the distant grass patch was an added bonus.   Set back from the street in a nice quiet location in a cul de sac so there was no passing traffic. We stayed in the Tuscan room which although it was the smallest was quite adequate. There was a couple of lounge areas where you could sit by the fire chatting during the evening, watch TV or curl up with a book. Breakfast prepared by Graeme (who is a cook) was very nice - Very welcomeing, friendly, it was like you were staying in someone's house. Our host Graeme was helpful and hospitable and cooks a yummy breakfast. We came in on cold night to a warm cosy room. There was also a fire in the lounge room if you wished to sit there. We found our room comfortaleble and stayed there with a glass of wine.The first 1st photos is of the room we stayed in, so I know them to be true.

  I loved everything about the Bower!! The cabin is beautiful, great design and very welcoming. I loved the glass doors and windows leading out to the decking. I loved the decking area, we spotted plenty of wildlife and the sound of the birds made for a very peaceful atmosphere.   The Lakeside Holiday apartment was very nice. The owner/manager was very helpful. The apartment had a nice view of the lake and was very close to the beach and a reasonable walk to the center of town.   A very fine ambience in this delightfully restored winery. Complimentary port or muscat in the Great hall with two wood fires blazing was a relaxing way to end a day's driving. I would unreservedly recommend Petersons Winery at Armidale. - Geoff and I love staying at Peterson's Armidale Winery and Guesthouse. We are repeat visitors and appreciate the ambience, the great staff, the food and the beautifully appointed rooms. The staff were very understanding when we couldn't arrive by 2100 because of a detour because of bushfires and were more than willing to make us welcome by leaving the key and fresh milk for a cup of tea when we arrived.
