Although this motel is a fair way from the city, there are bus stops nearby so the heart of Hobart is only a mere ten minutes away! My room was clean, warm and the facilities were all there. Edinburgh Gallery Bed & Breakfast is a typical bed and breakfast. It has all basic needs: bed, desk, chair, bathroom and breakfast. Breakfast was ordinary, so dad and I went outside for breaky. Very close to city. Even closer to Botanical Gardens. Very cheap. Parking at the motel with extra security door from outside. Our room had a kitchenette with fridge, sink and microwave. There was also access to a kitchen if you wanted to do more serious cooking. The room had a fan and a heater. Laundry facilities. -

Situated in the midway of thr slope, it js close to city center and yet won't be noisy. The room was very spacious and clean. We enjoyed staying in here. There was a funny cute fat cat accompanying us when we check out. The cat didn't let us walk ahead of it, so funny.

The Welcome Stranger Hotel is an old style, great value place to stay in Hobart, and it has Wi-Fi.
It is an easy walk to Salamanca and CBD.
You can sit in a sunny position by a large window, watching the people and cars go by, while eating breakfast. It is cosy in the evening watching TV and sitting on a comfy lounge by the fireside while eating

The staff at the Welcome Stranger are terrific. They are extremely helpful and very welcoming. We travelled with a 16 month old and found that our room was well setup to accomodate not only the adults but the baby as well. The food was extremely good value for money and delicious to boot. It is also conveniently locate close to all attractions within Hobart.

Staff were brilliant. We arrived on an unusually very hot day (and our room was unfortunately on the north west corner). Even with the fan going, we were unable to sleep due to this unfortunate combination of circumstances. In the morning with all other rooms booked, we decided to curtail our pre-booked stay - staff were extremely professional, even offering to cloak our luggage until we were able to make other arrangements.
Location is brilliant! Breakfast was excellent all the moreso consider
