  We had a wonderful time at 5411 Soho Hotel when we stayed in mid-November. It was the perfect location right in the heart of Palermo Soho. Tons of cute shops, great restaurants and plenty of wine shops and tastings right outside. The staff was very friendly and gave us lots of great tips during our stay. The location is wonderful: just a block away from Plaza Serrano, the epicenter of everything in Palermo Viejo. And since it's a small hotel, they are always aware of who's entering the place, so I thought it was very secure, which is also important.

  Everything. Very nice staff, excellent location for Palermo Viejo/Soho area. We used buses/subway, so also fairly convenient to get around the city on 140 bus and D subte at Plaza Italia. Given the chic design, very good breakfast(with hot options at no extra cost), we found this an excellent value.   The desk staff were the best- very friendly, knowledgeable, excellent English language, and willing to help out (especially Roberto, Carlos and Raquel). The rooms were stylishly appointed- small, but efficient and comfortable. The outdoor courtyard was pleasant and landscaped well. Good location (Palermo - safe area), excellent staff and really nice rooms. We arrived at 7 am after a very long flight and got our rooms 8 hours before normal check-in time. They arrange transfer to/from airport for a decent rate, give nice tips for tango and sightseeing. Very friendly staff! Breakfast was also good.

  Modern boutique hotel in neigborhood of Palermo Hollywood. Its abit further away from old Palermo (about a 15-20 min walk) where most boutique stores and restaurants are situated.   It was a very calm peaceful setting in a busy city. We used the Ilum as our base and travelled to other destinations returning to the Ilum each time.
