  It was a very calm peaceful setting in a busy city. We used the Ilum as our base and travelled to other destinations returning to the Ilum each time. The hotel has 12 rooms, they're very spacious, comfortable and clean, breakfast was lovely. The Ilum is one of the nicest places we have stayed and we have travelled extensively.   Staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was very spacious, comfortable and the overall colonial look very well maintained.
