The staff gave us a warm welcome and was very helpful. Check-in was quick and easy. The room was immaculate. The location is perfect - right on the beach and easy walking distance to downtown, etc. Great swimming pool and hot tub which my kids enjoyed immensely after a long day in the car and a week of camping in tents. Simple but generous continental breakfast served on roof overlooking ocean. This place seems to be very popular with families with big groups of kids on summer vacation.
todos opiniões » Our trip to Pismo was wonderful! The Edgewater Hotel was perfect for the kind of weekend we were going for. Kid/Family friendly and walking distance to the beach/downtown area. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. We were allowed to look at larger rooms/suites and made reservations for a future trip this summer. The prices are extremely affordable. The location is perfect(in front of the Beach, clean, comfortable room and also the beds. I have been there with my husband and three kids and enjoyed a lot. Also have a nice swimming. pool. They offer a friendly breakfast with coffee, muffins, and juice. FREE internet in the bedroom and FREE parking. Fantastic location, room had a view of the sea. The pool was perfectly situated. The staff were really friendly and welcoming with complementary cookies and muffins freshly baked. Quiet location with 5 minute walk to restaurants and diners. Would stay again. The distance from the beach and the pier were great. Didn't have to drive anywhere, except to the movies one night. The fresh baked cookies were nice and the view from the 4th floor continental breakfast room was spectacular. The view was wonderful, and we were in walking distance of the beach, peer, restaurants and shopping. The staff was friendly. The room was clean. And the bed was the most comfortable hotel bed I've ever slept on. Very Clean comfortable place, nice and quiet this time of year. The motel is right on the beach and is also close to the town of Pismo Beach. We had a great time, I would reccommend it to everyone. Everytthing! An unexpected pit-stop on our journey to San Francisco and a very pleasurable one. I thoroughly recommend this place to anyone and we now plan to come back and explore the area more. Loved the location and facilities were good. Older style but everything clean and tidy. The muffins and juice in the morning was an added bonus and enjoyed them on our walk to the pier. Staff were very kind and professional. I left something in the room when I left! I called to let clerk know! She took care of the problem Immediatly. I received it in the mail right away!. Situated in a good location! Walking distance to the downtown area and lots of food around. Muffins, cookies and drinks provided at the front desk. Muffins were quite delicious!. Loved that we could bring our dog and the beach was super close! Also close to town (Cinnamon rolls! Splash cafe chowder!). Staff were all wonderful. Price was amazing. Loved the location!...right next to the ocean I could hear the waves on the shore day and night. Also liked that I could walk to the pier and all the restaurants there. I am a frequent visitor and always stay at the Edgewater! It's not fancy, but is always clean and comfortable, and within walking distance to pretty much everything!. Updated appearance of rooms. Room was large and beds comfortable. 24 access to muffins and cookies and tea/coffee is a nice touch. it is exactly on the beach! depending on the room, you can see the ocean from the window. the man at the reception was really friendly and nice. Ease of check in, clean room, close to beach and main street. They were acommodating in letting us stay one night during Labor Day weekend. You can't beat this hotel for the price. 3 minutes walk to the beach and 5 to the main street. Heated pool overlooking the ocean was great. So close to the beach, centrally located. Staff very helpful. The great prices and location to town pretty much make up for the small things we didn't like. I guess our only real complaint was the refridgerator in our room didn't work very well. We mentioned the problem to the front desk and they were more than willing to bring us a new one however we were staying only a short time and were able to keep our small amount of cold foods in our ice chest. Bathroom a little on the small side. It would have been nice to have a real complimentary breakfast. Not a didn't like but it would have been helpful to have a microwave container and some utensils for use with the microwave. Had a family room which was nice, but it was on the Main Street and it was loud all night with cars going by. There isn't really much difference between a seaview room and a normal room. The inn is so near the sea that almost all the rooms can sort of have a glimpse of the sea. Not necessary to spent the extra few dollars just to get a seaview. Minor stuff: very noisy people above us. Broken drawer in dresser. Staff was great and did call the noisy people but they still woke us all up after midnight. We will ask for top floor next time :). Had trouble connecting to the free wifi. Carpet wasn't clean, not good for having a crawling infant! We had to put comforters down on floor to allow baby on floor. We had 2 rooms, in one room both doors to clothes closet had been removed. Smokers allowed to smoke right outside rooms allowing smoke to waft into our rooms even with doors and windows closed. Pool and spa area is a bit rundown. My room was a bit overcrowded with furniture ( but otherwise decorated nicely). Stayed 2 nights. Had to ask for maid service for the second night stay. Had to pick up my x-tra towels and coffee at lobby myself. Price was the same for both nights and the maid service should be automatic everyday. Crowded! Not a bad thing and certainly not the fault of the hotel. It was a 3 day weekend after all. Breakfast is horrible. Mini muffins, coffee and juice, that's it. I had trouble regulating the room temperature, wanted to turn down the heat at night and couldn't figure it out. facilities look a bit shabby inplaces such as the elevator adn stairwells. The continental breakfast was a little skimpy, but we certainly didn't starve. Hot tub was closed for remodeling. They did help by getting me access to the one at hotel next door though. The room was a little dirty. The parts of the floor that are close to the walls and tub (maybe couldn't be reached by vacuum) were visibly dirty. Everything else appeared clean though. Spa was under construction, but neighboring hotel allowed us to use their spa. Breakfast was very limited, only some muffins and drinks. Would have liked to have weather stripping around the door. It was a bit expensive. It did not overlook the beach as the pictures on the Internet suggested. pillows...needs a bar for to help off toilet. Water pressure on 3rd floor room 327. There was a toilet seat that would not stay up right for P. I told front desk and had it fixed that day. no drain stopper for tub. Rooms looked a little worn. It could use new carpets. The beds weren't the most comfortable but they were ok. The fridge made a lot of noise. I wish, I could unplug it. Deadbolt on room door was a little iffy. Noisy. Guys started their motorcycles @6 aM. Could hear every step up above. Seems like a party place.
