We were prepared to love it there, but will not go back because the drive was too nerve wracking. - Stayed one night while driving along coast. Upgraded on arrival. Good location on edge of town with pleasant river view. Very helpful reception person.

Although our room was located on the outside of the motel, it was fairly quiet, and the inddor pool / hot tub was rellaxing.   I liked the location. I am a family member of long time residents of Ft Bragg, mother, uncles, sister, neices & nephews. We have always stayed at Tradewinds because it accomidated many members of out of town family and the resturant was a plus. Always the place to stay when coming up for funerals, weddings, reunions etc. Now it is Motel 6 and I am hoping it will get spruced up on the - Close to 'Down Town' Fort Bragg. Next to Rite Aide (kinda handy) the bar in the hotel has a live DJ on Friday and Saturday, this seemed popular with locals but did not keep us up. It looked a lot better than the Travel Lodge down the street for the same price. If you are not staying in one of the fancy romantic B&B's then you could do a lot worse.
