This guest house should have a 5 star rating instead of the 4 it has. Absolutely beautiful from the car park to reception to the gorgeous bedroom(14) and the breakfast area. Stellar, friendly, helpful hosts (thanks Mark & Jan!), fab room with stain glass window and breath-taking view of the sea and promenade, Mark's Scottish Breakfast utterly delicious, lovely attention to detail including snifter of sherry, great location next door to beautiful ruin (Dunollie Castle) we will come back. Chief highlight of our three week Scottish tour was Oban in general and the Barriemore in particular.

He assured us that he would clean our room first in order for us to check in early. He also helped to carry our bags to our room and refused a tip. He was extremely accommodating and friendly. Staff were very friendly and looked after our luggage, as we arrived too early. We then went to Inverary and looked around the castle. They even took the bags upstairs before we came back. Room was quirky and lovely. Bathroom too. Breakfast had cereal, fruit, full cooked Scottish breakfast, toast and fish. Plenty to eat. Nice view from restaurant. Also have garden to sit in.
