On the edge of Montpellier, one of Cheltenham's most famous squares, is the Georgian Willoughby House Hotel. Just 15 minutes’ walk from the centre of Cheltenham, it has individually designed rooms, free Wi-Fi and free parking. The rooms at Willoughby House Hotel are all traditionally furnished, and have satellite TV and facilities for making tea and coffee. Each is decorated with antiques, and has picturesque views from the windows. The building has a number of period features, including an ornate brass staircase that dates from 1806. It is family run, and has been owned by the same family for more than 17 years. Located metres from Montpellier Gardens, Willoughby House Hotel is a 12-minute drive from Cheltenham Racecourse. Cheltenham College is a 5-minute walk away.

The staff was great. Location is perfect - 30 seconds to Montpellier, but on a pretty quiet street. The building itself is a great example of Cheltenham architecture. Our room (Suffolk) had creaky floors and several cabinet handles just fell off - we sort of liked it as it intensified our impression of a 'period' building. again a very nice hotel with style & Class. the owners lovely people made you feel welcome from the start. our suite was wonderful. the food in morning was to die for....and we like the honesty bar. so yes full marks for the willoughby.

I have chosen a lovely big room with high ceiling, cornicing and fire place and been offer one with such low ceiling that my boyfriend bang his head few times, not much charm and no fireplace. Was disappointed, been given another one but it wasn't what I came for. They tell me that it was a problem with the picture of bedroom on the website and that it has been changed. Have checked few days later, it is still the same picture. Not reliable. The Bed The Shower and the PRICE.
