As I was visiting an elderly relative at the hospital across the road, for my needs it was the perfect location and was close enough to the town centre for a break in between visiting hours. The owners were extremely helpful and allowed me to leave the car with them before the return trip to Yorkshire. We enjoyed our stay at Fairlawns. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the breakfast was very good. We were given a room in the gardens because we had our small dog with us and this was perfect for us, the room had everything we needed and it was cosy in the cold weather we were having.

We arrived a bit early after a long transatlantic flight and Matt was very accommodating about finding a room that met our needs even though it was not the room they had planned for us. The breakfast was fabulous as usual. I traveled with my dog and they were very welcoming of him too. We both enjoyed our stay. The room was in the annex so we had direct access to outside space and didn't have to worry about bumping in to people in corridors etc. A brilliant place to stay with your furry friend. Thank you. I was extremely impressed with the very warm welcome and care shown. The room was comfortable and the breakfast excellent. I was travelling between my businesses, but stayed in Banbury to see my grandchildren. I was very pleased with my choice of accommodation. The welcome from the staff on duty was warm and welcoming. The room was excellent, very clean and furnished to a high standard. My wife and I have stayed at this accommodation in the past and have always been satisfied with our stays. The staff were so friendly it felt like home. The beds were so comfortable which is very important for a 4 day stay and the place was very clean and the breakfasts were fab thank you. The shower room was quite small and the shelf above the wash hand basin had been put in a bad position which made it difficult to wash your face or clean your teeth. Nothing. Nothing to report. No rail for bath towels (minor issue only);. I like a firm bed and mine was bit springy. Nothing really - it was fine for the money. the mattress was a bit uncomfortable. Very small toilet which was separate from the bathroom . No communal lounge or sitting are. nothing. Unpleasant people who could be heard through the walls during the first night - but who left so we were able to enjoy our second night much more. Unfortunately the world is made up of all sorts!. Nothing. No dislikes. As an older building, be aware that sound proofing is minimal. Warmth in single room caused by location of boiler, would probably be lovely in winter but on warm summer nights not very comfortable. Nothing. Noise from the rooms beneath my room came through very clearly... I could hear the radio and tv from the other rooms at 3am in the morning. N/A. meatheads in breakfast room swearing and talking loudly about how bad their hangovers were. not really hotels fault though. Nothing at all!. Can't think of anything. Car parking is cramped. You can hear noise from the next room. Too Clinical, table settings too plain, they don't take note your requests ie whte toast requested but brown toast bought etc could improve but still well worth using. Room a bit small and would have liked a KS quilt on the double bed. nothing. Not very close to the city center, 15 minutes by walk. Shower was a little slow for my liking. Nothing to dislike. No wonder this has a good rating. nothing.
