  We liked the view of the lake and the roof top terrace. Breakfasts were nice. The rooms were comfortable with a sofa and chairs, the bathroom was large, spotlessly clean and modern. A kettle and selection of teas was provided in our room.   Amazing view over the lake! best in the area! Great free facilities: swimming pool, sauna. Very clean and well equipped rooms. We stayed on the first floor (room 013), so we did not have a view to lake, but we enjoyed private entry to garden, and at night had a stunning moon shine over the valley. There is a post bus terminal at the entrance to the Hotel which ensures that those guests who travel without a car have either this option, or the cable car to Brusino-Arsizio which connects with the boat service on the lake Lugano.   A spacious and well-equipped apartment with a very pleasant balcony - no views but a big mature tree to shade us from the hot sun and give some privacy. The furnishing is a bit sparse and upright but it suits the place. The Mairani resort is a gated community that includes a spa, assisted living and retirement homes as well as holiday lets - Appartment was spacious, nicely furnished and clean. Nice gardens. 5 minute walk from the station where you can take the funiculare down to the town. Underground parking was very welcome - kept the car cool!   Beautiful landscape....snowcapped mountain view right outside our window. Dog absolutely had a field day running all over the mountain fields...lol. - The food was excellent and the staff very friendly. Breakfast a bit poor.
