  I usually stay at the Waterfront and only chose the Taj out of neccesity because everyone else was full with Argus bookings. I was very pleasantly surprised. This is an excellent 5 star hotel at a fraction of the cost of some competitors. The city location is vibrant and interesting.   This place was absolutely wonderful! The staff are extremely friendly and always helpful. It is minutes away (walking) from downtown Cape Town and a 20 minute taxi ride from beautiful Table Mountain, which you have an amazing view of from the hotel itself.   This hotel lived up to all our expectations and more. We arrived at 10.30am and expected to just leave our luggage, but we were given our room straight away. All the staff were very accommodating and the room was very pleasant. The road was bellow our room but we did not hear any noise at all. A lovely big bath was a treat.
