  Chalet Romantica was one of - if not the best B&B we stayed in during our trip to NZ. Inge was very friendly and welcoming and made us feel quite comfortable on our first night in NZ. The location offers a gorgeous view of the Bay of Islands and is walkable to good dining options.   We loved Abri Apartments. Great tree-top accommodation with lovely views of the bay and Russell. Very private and situated in lovely gardens set back from the main street, yet two minutes from restaurants and the ferry. The kids absolutely loved our stay here and we were sad to leave. 3 single beds for the kids was a real bonus. Downstairs was okay but only for sleeping really not a space you would want to have to stay in for a long time. I loved the calm and peaceful feeling of this place.
