Friendly and knowledgeable staff. We loved the room though a little small--the bathroom was elegant and very comfortable. Breakfast was great with many tasty selections. The owners Maria and Fabrizio are the most wonderful hosts. We had dinner almost every night when we were there. Maria is an amazing cook and everything is made fresh either from her garden or from some farms nearby. Breakfast is a major affair with a wide array of fruits, pastry, cheese, prosciutto and Maria's homemade yogurt. The decor and landscaping is chic and rustic. Definitely one of the major highlights of our trip is staying in this wonderful bed and breakfast.

- Excelent staff, very helpful and friendly. They give you good advice on what to do, discounts for scooter renting and they even returned for us our scooter when we decided to leave in the first ferry. They also took us to the port by car.

Very nice stay. Great breakfast, most of it home made and fresh.
Owner is very friendly, caring, educated and hospitable.

Very eclectic and modern design, the room was very comfortable with lots of storage space and high end shower and bath soaps. The location is rural and very peaceful, the grounds are beautiful, the breakfast was a delicious mix of local dishes and fresh fruit. The lady in charge was very graceful and helpful. I would describe the Balarte as the Gugenheim in the middle on the Scicilian countryside !

This was a relaxing and enjoyable place to stay in a peaceful rural setting. The room was spacious and very clean and comfortable. The views were beautiful, with the only noise being the distant sound of cow bells, and could be enjoyed from deck chairs in the garden. Friendly staff, good restaurant. We were only there one night but wished we could have stayed longer.

We enjoyed our stay here very much: the infrastructure is a recent renovation with qualitative material. The rooms are nice and very clean and designed functionally. The accomodation is managed by 4 women (Barbara, Katia, Margherita and Mima) who are doing this with great passion. Also the kitchen is very good. A lovely quiet place to stay and start from here the discovery of the west coast of Sicily.

We are a couple in our mid thirties with a young son, Joshua aged 10 months. We have stayed at many 5 star hotels over the years and I can honestly say that this 3 star hotel absolutely beat all of the 5 stars in a number of ways. Joshua on the front desk is exceptionally good at his job and so to is his Manager. They are a real asset to the hotel and every other member of staff was excellent to deal with. The hotel is situated in an excellent position and the views are stunning around the pool
