His English isn't brilliant but he will do anything to try and help, whether it be finding a phone adaptor, or guiding you to the best fish restaurants (and they're all pretty good around Danaos-very local). I booked a hike to Samaria Gorge, the old man at reception woke up and made me breakfast before the hike. It's also right on the town beach and 10 minute walk to the old part of Chania.
