We were only booked in overnight on our way to Calais from Carcassonne. We arrived after a 7 hour drive so a dip in the outdoor heated pool was a welcome and rejuvenating experience. The house is very romantic and charming and set in its own grounds so it is perfectly child friendly. Our hosts were extremely friendly and spoke perfect English. Beautiful surroundings both inside and outside. The rooms are stunning, and there was a nice relaxed atmosophere especially at breakfast in the dining room, probably due to the fact that there were lots of other families staying there. - the place was great rooms were big and clean we had a bedroom plus a big sitting room it was lovely

The property is very interesting. Traditional, very well maintained and decorated with great taste. Our superior room was very spacious, overlooking the garden, and the bathroom was modern. Breakfast is very complete. We really enjoyed the heated outdoor pool, excellent for spending the afternoon. Overall a great base for visiting the Loire Valley.

A beautiful place owned by a really nice couple. We enjoyed the Gresse couple hospitality and the spacious and tastefully decorated suite. The place is ideal for families: the suite accommodates a family of five comfortably and the yard is full of fun. The Gresse kids are very friendly and were eager to show my kids all the animals: swans & ducks in the moat, chickens & rabbits in the yard, and then climbed with them to the tree house and picked apples right from the tree.
