We received an excellent welcome from the owner who supplied us with full information about the area which we wouldn't have got from a travel book.
The chateau has been restored into a contemporary hotel with excellent fittings and wi fi. Our suite was very large, comfortable and quiet. The hotel is about an 8 minute drive from Carcassonne. It is worth visiting the Canal du Midi at Trebes and the picturesque Legrasse.

Nice new rooms and very nice modern ensuite bathrooms, very clean, good linens and towels, and quiet for sleeping. Everyone was extremely friendly and helpful. Always felt that the staff were happy to be there. Hotel was really well decorated and clean. Breakfast and the one meal we had there was fresh, tasty and plentiful. We would have liked a kettle so that we could make a drink in the night if we wanted.
