We LOVED this accommodation. We had a deluxe double room with a balcony overlooking the garden. The building was a grand old house and the room enormous and filled with traditional character and had a smart modern bathroom. The staff were extremely kind and friendly and were not at all bothered when we arrived very late and checked in at 11.30pm. Breakfast was served outside on the decking, surrounded by flowers. I highly recommend staying here, it was laid back and relaxing and great value for. todos opiniões
Host and manager very charming. We were made to feel relaxed and completely at home. We had the use of a kitchen, frig etc. Comfy beds and lots of charm in the old villa. 10 mins. Walking to town, and then returning to a tranquil environment, only thing missing would be a pool in the summer! I would recommend this place to anyone.
An adorable property a mile from the old town of Aix, this villa had well kept gardens and a cherry tree with sweet cherries served during breakfast. Breakfast was almost the best part with various options of jams, croissants, and fresh fruit out on the patio. Very cute place with kind owners and a quiet space.
Villa Roumanille was beautiful. Our room was private and spacious. The grounds were lovely and breakfast on the terrace was superb, especially cherries picked from a tree in the garden..delicious. Location was great as well, walking distance to the town. Everything was wonderful.
Rambling traditional Provençal villa with large garden and lovely terrace for breakfast/relaxation. Generous breakfast and facilities for self-catering. Very comfortable beds and quality bathrooms. Friendly hosts and dogs!.
Enjoyed to stay in an old villa so close to the center. Very fine room and excellent breakfast in the garden. Friendly host with two nice dogs.
Lovely period house - enormous rooms. Individualistic and charming furnishing. Beautiful gardens.
Friendly and helpful service.
Location, atmosphere, size of the room, interior of the room, garden facilities and breakfast were great! Very kind staff.
Old provencal building with rustic feel. Spacious bedroom with balcony. Large garden and terrace.
Very nice cosy place with garden, tasty breakfast and great hospitality of the owners!.
It's really a villa, not a hotel. Staff is good and helpful, but speaks only french.
Ambience of the property, delightful hosts and convenience to city.
Location, value, size of rooms and warm and friendly owners.
The host is so welcoming and goes above and beyond to help.
Giacometti room and gardens were beautiful!!.
1- Comfort & Location
2- Breakfast.
good view from the cute balcony.
Beautiful house, garden and artefacts. We felt like it was our house. Very friendly owners. It was unusual- a bit quirky- but we liked that. It was quite informal- not everyone would like that. Room with balcony was lovely.
Interesting building - nice old villa, only partially renovated. Room and bathroom was good and renovated, common areas - stairs etc would need some more renovation.
the boss is really nice and give the guidence for how to visit the city.
Beautiful market.
Fair location (close to main roads but also to town centre) Decent,
peaceful terrace and garden.
Nice villa, beautiful room.
Nothing really.
The room we stayed in could have used a blow dryer as us two women traveling light didn't bring our own and also a hook or two in the bathroom.
Giaccometti room has WC along corridor and up steps - not ideal at night!.
Bathroom - although clean and perfectly functional could do with a little maintenance - a few chipped tiles.
No english speaker staff, no toilet in the room, credit card not accepted.
Unreliable wifi reception.
The toilet is outside the room. In "Standard" villa it is shared between two bedrooms.
Cash only terms of payment caused us embarrassment at last minute but
amicably resolved with the host.
Gate slowed at night had difficulty getting in.
No negative comments.
It was impossible to find- no sign or clear numbering. We weren't really clear about what was on offer- ie was it B&B or self-catering? There were elements of both present.
Villa only partially renovated, some parts probably not used for few years and need some investments. Even then it is interesting to see.
Spoilt by the rubbish in the streets. Aix was extremely untidy for such
a prestigious and historic city.
Cash only (beware, no credit cards) Rather poor breakfast Room
wasn't made-up on 2nd day of visit Not value for money Only French
spoken by staff (Spanish, Portuguese and English all failed!) Definately
only a B&B not a Hotel, and really 3* not 4*.
The room was not made up at all during stay. Not even clean towels!
Owner is friendly but it's impossible to communicate anything in any other language than French. Owners wife was really paranoid in thinking that we were trying to rob the place, needs to be more involved in her b&b since she had no idea who is staying there...
No private toilet! Very noisy at night. Would not recommend this place at all!.
