A wonderful hotel tucked into a cobblestone street in Old Town! Giant rooms and hot tub big enough for two was a real plus on cold nights (and days)! I will stay here the next time I am in Quebec City. Great value, too. LOVED IT!! - The staff were very helpful with any requests and the buffet breakfast was delicious with great fresh choices.

We had breakfast and dinner at the hotel and both were excellent and reasonably priced. We enjoyed sitting out on the decks overlooking Lac Sable and later swimming there.(Beach access included in the price of the room) -
Everything was really good! The food was excellent, the facility was not crowded.

This was a great hotel. I was upgraded to one of the deluxe suites when I arrived. The hotel is quiet, well appointed and the staff were very helpful. I was even able to get a late check-out. Port Royal is a fantastic hotel located in the heart of basse-ville (lower town). Our room 105 had original stones and wood beams dating from 1700´s. BEd is very comfortable, room decór is sooting and chic (shantung curtains, ceiling painted in grey-brown). Bedroom has a built in kithchenette very convenient. Hotel bar is really cool too. I would totally recommend future guests to head to local Quebec boulangerie named Paillard centrally located in Rue St Jean in Haute-ville (5min walt). Their

The hotel is well situated near the Berri/UQAM subway station. My room was indeed spacious and comfortable, but also very quiet, even though it faced the street.
I would definitely recommend this hotel, as it does offer good value at a modest cost. -

We got one of the 5th floor rooms, which meant it was really quiet. It also meant 5 flights of narrow stairs. Of course, since it's a historical building (like much of Quebec City) building codes prevent the addition of elevators, so this is par for the course. Beautifully reno'd room and bathroom, though the ceiling was a bit low due to the angle of the roof. Close to lots of nearby shopping and restaurants in the old city (and the lower old city, too, which was a bit cheaper).

When I first read the on-line guests reviews, I have to admitt that I was a bit worried to reach there. I was instead pleasantly surprised.
