The town and shops were clean and very well presented. There were a lot of trees around which gave it a lovely atmosphere. The people were friendly and I felt quite safe there.
The scenery is lovely especially on the Gordon River cruise. -
Comfort and quietness, if we visit Strahan again we will certainly stay with The Strahan Holiday Park

The room was comfortable, though rather dated. As we looked out onto the carpark we took advantage of the Hilltop lounge area. On the first night the bar was open, the fire stoked and we enjoyed a drink while watching the light fade and the lights come on in the harbor. On the second night, no bar, no fire, no staff, but the view more than made up for it.

We felt thouroughly spoilt at Franklyn Manor, enjoying the ambience and charm of this fine example of historic Tasmanian Architecture. Close to Risby Cove restaurants and a comfortable walk into Strahan. Very relaxing, we would recommend it to those who like to indulge in Tasmanian hospitality. Plenty to do while in the area too.

those facilities necessary (washer/dryer, full kitchen etc) to make
life easy when touring.
Our immediate reaction when walking in was "pity we can only stay one night - it would be so nice to kick back here for a longer stay".
The property is only a short walk into the centre of Strahan.

Very well set up self contained villa. Plenty of room to spread out in and the tavern only 50 metres away for good pub quality meals if you don't want to cook your own. Great location and great property. Full of history and old world charm. Wonderful hosts, welcoming, friendly, knowledgeable. Had cuppa and freshly made muffins on arrival and each time we came back from an activity. Breakfasts were great. my husband fell in love with the local leather-wood honey.
Would highly recommend to anyone traveling to Strahan.
