I can't say enough good things about the Alto and staff . The room was clean ,comfortable and had little extras that made you feel at home.I had a mini box of chocolates and a welcome note waiting in my room as well as my luggage that they had kept secure for me for a week I was traveling to Caines . The staff were fantastic, they couldn't do enough for you. The
room was spacious and very well appointed. They location would be
great if you had plans at one of the sporting venues and although you
were 2 blocks from the North/South tram routes, there were
East/West trams running one street either side of the hotel.

Amazing staff, especially concierge who always greeted us warmly and helped us with our twins. Very accommodating and sympathetic to our needs for our 6 month old babies. Well furnished rooms/suites for amazing value. Best location - just around the corner from flinders lane where lots of good restaurants / cafes located. One of the best experiences I've had at a hotel - particularly for the price we paid!

This was our second stay at the Grand Hotel Melbourne and we were warmly greeted upon arrival. The staff are always very friendly and eager to help were possible. All the rooms are very spacious and clean with the most amazingly comfortable beds. We were also touched that the staff had given us a complimentary bottle of champagne upon arrival! -

I just wanted to say thank you to the staff at Punthill in Chinatown. They were just fantastic...nothing was too much for them and they were incredibly helpful at all times. They really showed what good service is about. I have stayed in hotels and apartments all around the world and they rate at the top end of my experience. Love the location near the Victoria markets. Easy access to Lygon Street and trams to Carlton, Brunswick, North Melbourne. Close to rental car pick-up. Surprised how good the healthy breakfast was and coffee. Excellent value.
