We spent the night at Koale Tree Motel as our rest stop on our way home from the Gold Coast to Sydney. I like the place because it is clean, well maintained and modern. My teenage daughters loved the free wifi. The small family room where we stayed was well equipped. The swimming pool was clean and quite inviting but we did not have time to have a dip as we were just spending the night and had to drive to Sydney the next morning. We would definitely go back to spend more time in Port Maquarie a.

Staff are fantastic, always friendly and incredibly helpful. Rooms have been refurbished beautifully, very clean, great mini bar/snack selection and room service choice. It's a motel but definitely feels like a hotel to me! Great pool too. Have stayed 3 times and will definitely be back. Very clean room with furniture and equipment in good condition. Ideal for an overnight stop on a road trip. Staff very friendly, mini bar available and good wi-fi provided at no charge. The room was really nice, loved the wooden floors and the layout. Also that it was pet friendly and there was a cat that greeted us straight away :) Room service was good too. Pet friendly!!!! Although no courtyard for them to go toilet, there was a large grassed area. Very cool and modern door lock system!. It was what I needed for a halfway point from Brisbane to Sydney. But would stay again. Staff were friendly. It is in a very handy location, is dog friendly, very clean and also affordable. it ticks all the boxes. Staff were helpful finding a great restaurant for dinner. The room was spacious and very comfortable. Very comfortable accommodation at reasonable price. Not too far to walk to shops and town center. Staff were helpful, room was nice, you didn't even hear the noise of the main street near by. I love'd the room. It was amazingly comfortable. Just like how you should feel on a holiday!. Good motel. very clean. All good. The location was nice we stayed at the four bedroom house near nobby's beach. The size was comfortable. Friendly and accommodating staff. Easy walk into town. The microwave was very useful. Shower was nice. that my dogs could stay in the room. Rear balcony was lovely. close to our friends. Modern facilities. Friendly Manager. The Spa bath. Price. The price was fair, the room was clean and tidy (couldn't fault bathroom)... Very comfortable beds and good linen friendly to our dogs reasonable price. The capacity to have pets stay. The price. Nothing. nothing . . . . for $89 don't expect the Ritz!. Walls thin which led to us being disturbed by a coughing neighbour during the night. The steep driveways. The balcony lights were very bright and lit up the room. The positive to this was that they were turned out around 10pm. It was little noisy with some of the people in the neighbouring rooms. I was disappointed when I arrived that there was no one to check me in but a phone call to the manager had me in my room and comfortable in no time. Only downfall was only one coffee sachet and no tea bags in room and no soap provided. These were supplied on request blut room had obviously no been restocked correctly. That is my fourth answer. By the main road. Ants in the room!. We were only there one night everything was good. found access to the place a little confusing when i initially arrived. Nothing to mention. Downstairs where the kids stayed had a musty smell, because I guess the rooms come straight off the garage, there were ants on three of the beds and in the shower abdul in the garage area feasting on a cockroach, the blinds in bedroom upstairs had several missing so not good for privacy,there was a broken tile near the lounge suit with sharp edge not good for the little ones. Units felt somewhat run down. Area surrounding units could do with a tidy up and weeding. Bathroom window hanging from one hinge. Ceiling fan not working. No spare pillow. No milk offered for tea/coffee (we did forget to ask and there was nobody to ask later). TV remote was hard to change channels. Bed kept moving and hitting wall. that I still haven't received a tax invoice for my stay on 12/11/13 despite several requests for one. A little hard to access as the entry road is not well marked. No sink for washing dishes. Bathroom needs updating. Mould everywhere. The smell of smoke in the air conditioner , sticky floor , the key lock . Location is away from the interesting parts of town. Motel is dated. New electronic door locks require a manual to figure out. Right on the main, noisy street. The 'family room' fit four but only for sleeping purposes. A bench to eat at would fit two, room was size of a normal room but with uncomfortable bunk added. Room built into what would have been a downstairs storeroom, no outdoor area. Musty... Either because of location or rubbish bins through wall... Wouldn’t use family room again. Tricky entry from main road and rough entry through retirement village. Location too far from centre of town to walk and awkward to get to by car. They had a room service menu in the room but kitchen had been closed for 2 months. Nowhere close for breakfast on a wet weekend Dismissive attitude of reception made us feel awkward asking for assistance. There were no bath towels in the room. There were two handtowels only provided in the room. The small bin had an empty beer bottle in it when we arrived. It appears the room had not finished being serviced. The bed was on castors and moved away from the wall when you sat up in bed. The toilet space, It was so small. Room service, when we were out only very basic cleaning was done. Timber floors, very noisy from adjoining rooms. Rooms were not made up during the three night stay. There was no one at reception, just a phone no. The phone had been unplugged, so no phone. Location was not as close as we thought and description on line was not what we got. Would not recommend this motel.
