  The staff was great! They were all very nice and always had a smile on their face. They were very knowledgeable about every aspect of the property as well as the history of the region and the best sight seeing in the area.   Great value for money, really friendly staff. Great pool with excellent waterslide to keep the kids amused. Good shallow pool for toddlers. Nice deep sink in room for washing baby bottles, no need to wash them in the bathroom.   The Reef Retreat is a quiet and peaceful hotel, set amongst beautiful gardens, with a gorgeous pool in the dappled shade. Our two bedroom villa was very spacious, clean, and stylish and had a balcony set amongst the tree tops. We often had the run of the pool, which the kids adored. We loved our stay, would highly recommend the hotel, and hope to come back. - We stayed at Reef Retreat for a week and it was perfect. The accommodation was very clean, modern and comfortable. The hosts Clive and Mary were very pleasant and helpful, as were the staff. Beautiful location, close to the lovely beach and restaurants, great for a relaxing holiday.

  We had made a reservation at Roydon’s for one week but found it more than worth extending and in the end we stayed for almost three weeks. Despite the season and holiday period and our rather short notice decision, we were given a generous discount for the extension period by the manager.   I cannot express how much of a perfect time we had at Roydon. From the pickup at the airport to the transfer back to the airport, everything was just as we had wished for but better. Our apartment (111) was fantastic, overlooking the ocean and beach. It was spacious, clean and had every facility you could wish for. We booked our Quicksilver cruise to the outer barrier reef with him plus transfers from a bus stop 2 m - We have had the Appartement with two Bedrooms and balcony with Oceanview. The Sunrise was really great to see from the balcony!!!! The Appartement was very big and very clean. The kitchen is well equiped. We felt like home and Eddi was very helpful to orginized our day trips for us. The Roydon is located perfectly at the beach and for day trips around cairns (Great Barrier Reef, Kuranda .....). It is perfect to stay with Children.
