Our room was very clean and we were upgraded to a room that was on
ground level. I had forgotten to ask for a ground floor unit, so we were
pleasantly suprised when allocated the ground floor unit -
We enjoyed our time, and would highly recommend it to anyone we knew were paying a visit to Hobart it was very clean, friendly, and comfortable

The ambience was more auspicious than many "casino" hotels who have the feel of a pub with some pokies... Friendly Staff, Very comfortable king size bed, cheap mini bar, lovely outlook, clean, close to everything, amazing food in the restaurant, we ate there for breakfast & dinner. The food was yum & such great value & the staff were friendly & gave great service. The accommodation was very reasonably priced. We would definitely recommend this hotel to our family & friends & everyone else that wants a great value for money stay in Hobart.

Consistent communication from service. Apartment was located close to best bakery in town and Salamanca area. Apartment was clean, fully equipped and washer/dryer much appreciated. View was lovely and outdoor balcony gave great option for chilling with wine or meal. Secure parking gave extra peace of mind.

The staff at the Welcome Stranger are terrific. They are extremely helpful and very welcoming. We travelled with a 16 month old and found that our room was well setup to accomodate not only the adults but the baby as well. The food was extremely good value for money and delicious to boot. It is also conveniently locate close to all attractions within Hobart.

Staff were brilliant. We arrived on an unusually very hot day (and our room was unfortunately on the north west corner). Even with the fan going, we were unable to sleep due to this unfortunate combination of circumstances. In the morning with all other rooms booked, we decided to curtail our pre-booked stay - staff were extremely professional, even offering to cloak our luggage until we were able to make other arrangements.
