We really liked the apartment that backed up to the Alaska State Museum. It was very quiet and it was very functional. We cooked every morning and evening - lowering our travel expenses. The efficient and free shuttle to and for the ferry terminal and the airport is a $100 round trip value. The drivers are knowledgeable about the area with good suggestions for hikes, tickets for shuttles to Mendenhall Glacier, etc. computer in lobby for printing boarding passes also helpful. And they let you check in as soon as a room is ready when you come in on a ferry in the early morning.

This must be one of the best bargain options in Alaska. We paid 75 dollars for a spacious double room, that was clean and had everything necessary for even a longer stay. Wi Fi was perfect. Unfortunately, we only stayed for one night and had to leave early in the morning, so we can say nothing about breakfast quality.
Generally, this place, if they keep their present rates, is highly recommended.

Staff very friendly & helpful, close to Denali & Healy, good food at 49th State Brewery which is just down the road. You get the feeling of being away from it all for example a moose was grazing at the hotel when we got there. Nice to have fridge & microwave in room.

Everyone at the hotel was really nice. I was pleasantly surprised by how nice the rooms were. They will also pay for your taxi to and from the airport which is a nice bonus! -

The room was very clean and also nicely decorated. The bathroom was very nice size with a great bathtub. I loved having the balth salts. The food was great, and the breakfast that came with the room was excellent.The recomendations for food outside the Silverbow were spot on. Location was great. Staff were very nice and helpful. The photos in the dining area were great-they made me want to see more of Alaska.

Our view from the room was wonderful, we watched the sea otters play in the harbor between the docks. Beautiful snow covered mountains in the background. Window open to the east to watch the sunrise. We could walk to shop & eat, saving gas and getting a little exercise. -
