Has a nostalgic, southern, New Orleans charm with banana trees and palms in the courtyard that make for a fine centerpiece to the overall cozy appeal. The building was well secured and the staff were friendly and helpful. St. Charles Streetcar is one block away, making for an easy ride in to the city, 24 hours a day. Also, if you choose to walk, it was perfectly safe and convenient if you don't mind the ~1 mile trek to the French Quarter.

Our room had a king size bed and semi private porch with table and chairs, awesome! The location is excellent and only a block from street car service. Staff are teriffic from mgmt. To service staff and they all seem to enjoy their jobs. This is a wonderfully quirky place, not for everyone, but definitely for us!. The quaint NOLA décor and artwork, the comfort of the beds, the yummy made to order breakfast, the location in the garden district is close to the quarter, St. Charles streetcar is right around the corner, parking is great and free (a novelty in NOLA) and the owners were friendly and helpful. I really liked this B&B!. Easy walk to Convention Center, OK neighborhood, and easy walk to good restaurants. Rather large, comfortable, quiet room and staff made me feel welcome. Breakfasts were very good, cook friendly, caring. A GREAT value compared to downtown hotels. Stayed in the Mansion- room was spacious, w/clawfoot tub and a lovely 4 poster bed. Breakfast was good every morning. Location is close to the St Charles trolley line to get around. We stayed in cabin 2 and absoultly loved it. I loved the rooms and the antiques thats in the room the feel of the old days. Will diffently stay again. The room is beautiful and with a real New Orleans style, Great breakfast and excellent location. The staff were helpful and nice :). Loved the B & B, the decor very much suited the location. It was a fun place to stay. Amazing place. You'll never regret your choice if you go there. Beat inn in Nola ever!. This place really is something special. Very relaxed feeling, a bit different from standard hotels but 100 % positive experience. Good location with a walking distance from French Quarter. the free breakfast was first-rate. staff was very knowledgable and helpful. Proximity to transportation. Great staff. Charming little B&B. Friendly staff, close to public transport. Friendliness of employees. Character of the room. What's not to like? Would recommend this location to anyone on a tight budget. Even if you do have the cash to spare and don't need all of the frills of upscale hoteliering, this is a special little find where you can spend more of your hard earned cash on other pursuits the city has to offer. The breakfast was more continental than a typical b & B. Their were no "house speciality recipes" and weekday offerings were light. What they did service was good!. The bathroom door in cottage 5 has windows in the top half of the door and I would prefer shutters or curtains for a bit more privacy, but that would never stop me from returning. A bit rustic, but had an authentic New Orleans feel. Some light bulbs in room out, TV clicker on it's last legs. Hot water was a bit hard to come by- trying to get the tub filled before we lost hot was tricky. Would not recommend Mansion rooms for folks with bad knees or other leg ailments, as the stairs are long and narrow. no clock, water glasses or dresser in the room. very small t.v. (staff did remedy the clock and glasses). Lacks any closet/hangers etc. Website pictures were not very good representation of the property. It's was kind of pricy, I paid lot more 180$ per night which is the Price at few other really we'll know hotels, as opposed to bed and breakfast kind of hotel. No handicapp accessibility. $111 room with no cup, not even paper one ? Not even pencil and tablet, no ice dispenser available, night code for gate didn't work, had to use own tools to pick the lock !! Next day 4-5pm received call if we checked out ...??? yet we left keys and signed agreement in open room on the bed !!.
