The city and the many homes we visited were wonderful. The Hampton has a great location which made it very convient to restaurants, the Mississippi River, and the beautiful old homes of the area. -

We booked through a 3rd party source and our reservation said a king room with sitting area. It was more like a 2 room suite on the 3rd floor in the main building with a wonderful view overlooking the poll and MS River. All their rooms are nonsmoking and I would def request the main building where the lobby and restuarant are located.

The staff were very accomodating and friendly. We were able to get a room with a river view and the room itself was perfect for our needs. The full breakfast that is included in the rate was different each morning and they were delicious. The gentleman who waited on us each morning was always very welcoming and the service provided was excellent. I would highly recommend this hotel and will stay again.

We (and another couple who stayed next door) stayed in the Camellia Cottage Room 32. Easy access. King bed which was huge! Great view of the grounds. everything was perfect from the gorgeous antebellum mansion to the period decorations to the superb staff who attended our every need! Roosevelt the bartender made the world's best mint julep and the bellman was excellent. The food at 1818 restaurant was awesome and service with our waiter Josh was unrivaled in all the world.

Mrs. Meng was warm and inviting, just delightful. She enjoyed sharing the history of the family home and of Natchez. She showed us around the home and made us very comfortable in our room, lighting the fireplace to take the chill off. The furnishing were period pieces which made you feel as though you were back in time!!
