We appreciated the reasonable rate for the value of the accommodations. The location is good. The restaurant had great food, atmosphere and service. The reservations clerks and front desk people were very friendly and helpful. All the employees we encountered were professional and friendly. I thought I had booked a room at the "other" Day's Inn on Castillo st and when I looked closer at my reservation it was a State st. The front desk (Sabrina) said they heard this before and I called the "other" Inn and they were not accomodating at all. loved the location, hotel was nice, the lobby was re-done and well staffed. Very quiet hotel and quite comfortable. Loved the hotel and our stay besides the fact that we were in a room that looked nothing like the pictures. I would recommend this hotel just be warned you might not get what you see!

I was in Santa Barbara w/ my two teenage daughters for a few days. The room and bathroom were very clean. The room was larger than most for the money.and had a microwave and fridge. Susan, at the front desk was very warm and knowledgeable about things to do and places to eat. We would stay at The Agave again.

The location was superb, right across from the beach, Stearns Wharf and yacht club. Lots of excellent restaurants within walking distance as was Old Town. Close to many wine bars. Offers nice buffet breakfast. Staff exceptional, especially Mynor at the front desk.

I liked the location -- a few blocks off the freeway 101 and very easy to find -- a just a short walk from the harbor and beach where there is so much to see and do. The staff was helpful and friendly and the continental breakfast was one of the best for a small boutique hotel

In a quiet area compared with the State St hotel we have stayed at before. -
Fabulous place, and a great price. It is comfortable, clean, on a quiet street 2-3 blocks from the beach. I appreciate that it doesn't have lots of bells and whistles (that I don't like paying for), but all the necessities to be comfortable and relax. Nice breakfast included (yogurt/granola, or an egg dish, which changes daily; with fruit, juice, coffee/tea). Staff are very responsive and friendly.

Nice location, right by the harbor and Stearns Wharf. We had a lovely view from the balcony overlooking the harbor. The wine and cheese in the afternoon was a nice touch and the heated pool and jacuzzi were good. The breakfast was also good and they kept making sure they refilled any of the items. Beds were comfy.
